Position Summary
We are seeking a Licensed Equine Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be experienced, detail-oriented, and passionate about equine care. You will work alongside board-certified specialists and skilled veterinary professionals in a fast-paced, referral-based hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, treatments, and surgical procedures
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and anesthesia
- Monitor patient vitals and post-operative recovery
- Perform laboratory tests and imaging (radiographs, ultrasound, endoscopy)
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient charts
- Provide compassionate care and communication with clients and referring veterinarians
- Support emergency and critical care cases as needed. Support ambulatory doctors on the road as needed
Qualifications
Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT, CVT, or RVT) in New York State or eligible for licensureMinimum 2 years of equine veterinary experience preferredStrong knowledge of equine anatomy, behavior, and handlingAbility to work in a team-oriented, high-pressure environmentExcellent communication and organizational skillsFlexibility to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shiftsAbility to work independently and under guidance of board certified veterinariansBenefits
