Clojure Data Engineering Lead

My client is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to spearhead the Data Engineering team. In this critical role, you will lead a team of 5 talented engineers to design, develop, and maintain complex data pipelines. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire data engineering lifecycle, from data ingestion and transformation to data warehousing and reporting.

Key Responsibilities :

• Technical Leadership : Lead and mentor a team of 5+ data engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Data Engineering : Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines using Clojure, Java libraries, Airflow, and other relevant technologies.
• Cloud Infrastructure : Leverage Azure, Docker, Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes to deploy and manage scalable data infrastructure.
• Data Modeling : Create and maintain efficient and effective data models, including PowerBI models.
• ETL Processes : Oversee the development and optimization of ETL processes to ensure timely and accurate data delivery.
• Performance Optimization : Identify and implement strategies to improve data loading performance and system efficiency.
• Problem-Solving : Analyze complex data challenges and devise innovative solutions.
• Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand their needs and deliver impactful solutions.
