We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation Maintenance Technician to join an offshore operations team. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with strong technical expertise and a passion for safe, reliable operations in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Deployment :
- Complete onboarding and offshore safety training (HSSE, BOSIET, OTS, CBT).
- Support commissioning and start-up activities, including system testing and vendor walkdowns.
- Review procedures, P&IDs, and loop drawings to ensure compliance and readiness for deployment.
Offshore :
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on control and safety systems.Troubleshoot complex instrumentation issues using ladder logic, control schematics, and loop data.Maintain Fire & Gas, communication, and other safety-related systems.Ensure adherence to maintenance schedules and operational reliability targets.Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to eliminate recurring defects.Support spare parts planning, QA / QC activities, and CMMS documentation.Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 7 years’ experience maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting instrumentation in LNG, cryogenic, or oil & gas facilities.At least 5 years’ experience with Fire & Gas or communication systems.Strong understanding of process control loops and calibration / testing of field instruments.Proficiency reading and interpreting P&IDs, loop diagrams, and ladder logic.Experience working offshore or on floating production units (FPSO / FLNG).Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance best practices.Rotation : 21 days on / 21 days off.Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred.Work Environment
This role involves both indoor and outdoor work in offshore conditions.
