Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Instrumentation Maintenance Technician to join an offshore operations team. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with strong technical expertise and a passion for safe, reliable operations in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Deployment :

Complete onboarding and offshore safety training (HSSE, BOSIET, OTS, CBT).
Support commissioning and start-up activities, including system testing and vendor walkdowns.
Review procedures, P&IDs, and loop drawings to ensure compliance and readiness for deployment.

Offshore :

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on control and safety systems.

Troubleshoot complex instrumentation issues using ladder logic, control schematics, and loop data.

Maintain Fire & Gas, communication, and other safety-related systems.

Ensure adherence to maintenance schedules and operational reliability targets.

Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to eliminate recurring defects.

Support spare parts planning, QA / QC activities, and CMMS documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

Minimum 7 years’ experience maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting instrumentation in LNG, cryogenic, or oil & gas facilities.

At least 5 years’ experience with Fire & Gas or communication systems.

Strong understanding of process control loops and calibration / testing of field instruments.

Proficiency reading and interpreting P&IDs, loop diagrams, and ladder logic.

Experience working offshore or on floating production units (FPSO / FLNG).

Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance best practices.

Rotation : 21 days on / 21 days off.

Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred.

Work Environment

This role involves both indoor and outdoor work in offshore conditions.
