Job Description
Louisiana's 38 State Parks, Historic Sites and Preservation Area offer you and your family a uniquely rewarding experience of our state's natural beauty and historical riches. Louisiana's historic sites transport visitors to a community dating 1,500 years before the arrival of European settlers and explorers of the Louisiana Purchase all the way through the turn of the 20th century. The purpose of this position is to perform essential duties in support of the operation of state park facilities statewide. Job Duties
Answers multi-line telephone or switchboards, giving routine information and screening calls. Greets visitors. Receives, sorts, and distributes mail. Collects and prepares for processing time and attendance sheets for the department or office. Performs routine filing of documents and maintains filing systems. Copies and / or distributes correspondence, reports, and other documents. Receives cash, checks, credit cards, vouchers, or departmental charges from customers and / or employees in payment for goods or services. May operate various office equipment (such as copy machine, calculator) that requires no special knowledge or previous training. May deliver and pick up various materials. Performs related duties as assigned.
Position-specific details : Appointment Type : This position may be filled as a probational or promotional appointment. Career Progression : As part of a Career Progression Group, vacancies may be filled from this recruitment as an Administrative Coordinator 1, 2, or 3 based on the qualifications of the selected applicant. Work Schedule : This is a full-time position; the position may be required to work overtime, evenings, weekends, holidays, and / or travel.
