Job Title : Registered Radiologic Technologist Profession : Radiology / Cardiology Specialty : Cath Lab Tech Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift : 10 Experience : Minimum of 3 years of related work experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist, previous experience in Cath Lab required. License : Arkansas Department of Health Radiology License Certifications : ARRT, current BLS required Must-Have : Safety-sensitive designation in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana Description : The Registered Radiologic Technologist is responsible and accountable for providing radiologic services at appropriate levels to all patients in all settings served by the Cath Lab. Education : Completion of course in an accredited school for Registered Radiologic Technologist is required. Physical demands include the ability to communicate effectively, solve problems, and make decisions. The role requires standing and walking, bending, squatting, and twisting for up to or exceeding 8 to 12 hours during shifts. Occasionally, lifting of 50 pounds or more of equipment is required. The employee must be able to push a wheelchair with a patient and equipment, exceeding 150 pounds. Occasionally, the lifting of patients with assistance of 125 pounds or more is necessary. The employee spends 8 hours or more in front of a computer, monitor, or similar screen utilizing a keyboard and / or mouse. Quick responses in emergency situations, including CPR and obtaining equipment, are essential. The position requires handling critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure. A keen sense of hearing and visual acuity to respond to changing patient situations from actual observations and / or equipment alarms is necessary. The employee must work regular assigned shifts and provide on-call coverage after hours, on holidays, and weekends. This work environment is in a hospital setting open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Call is expected on weeknights, weekends, and holidays. The employee must be able to respond and arrive in the Cath Lab within 30 minutes. Flexibility with daily starting and ending times is required.
