Northrop Grumman, Space Systems, is seeking a Research Scientist Manager 2 to lead our Aging and Modeling team. This position serves as the department focal point for developing aging programs with a focus on Propellant-Liner-Insulation (PLI) aging for new programs and supporting production solid rocket motor contracts. The position will be supporting the Propulsion Systems Division at our facility located in Promontory, UT.
The Aging and Modeling engineering manager directs a high performing team of approximately 9 individuals who create innovative methodologies to solve complex engineering challenges, implement solutions that improve performance, reliability, and reduce lifecycle costs. The manager is also responsible to : mentor and bring out the best in each team member, help them meet and overcome challenges and progress in their careers, help them feel personal satisfaction in their accomplishments, and convey and implement department and corporate expectations.

Primary Level Salary Range : $135,100.00 - $202,700.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
