Join our Multi-Domain Solutions (MDS) division as an Entry-Level Operations Technician , where your expertise will make a significant impact. You will assist with the operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems that support a large facility complex, including central plants, boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, generators, power distribution units, and building automation systems. Your contributions are essential for maintaining the safety and efficiency of infrastructure that supports building operations and production processes.
Primary Responsibilities :
Monitor and operate essential building systems such as boilers, chillers, HVAC units, generators, pumps, and transformers.
Assist with maintenance, repair, and preventive measures for mechanical and electrical systems.
Respond to equipment alarms and operational issues, taking appropriate action under supervision.
Utilize gauges and automated control systems to monitor system performance.
Collect and analyze data to identify inefficiencies or potential failures in equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety procedures, operational standards, and regulatory requirements.
Support emergency response efforts for equipment failures, power outages, or critical incidents.
Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, maintenance tasks, and system performance.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding issues, updates, and assistance requests.
Basic Qualifications
TS / SCI w / Poly clearance is required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
2-4 years of relevant experience in facilities management, operations, or space planning.
Solid understanding of facilities operations, maintenance, and space utilization.
Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and energy-efficient practices.
Basic experience in budgeting, cost tracking, and managing vendor relationships.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, floor plans, and site layouts.
Strong communication and organizational skills for effective interaction with stakeholders and vendors.
Capable of addressing routine problems related to space allocation and maintenance needs.
Proficient in common office software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word) and basic facility management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's or bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
4+ years of experience managing facilities or office space planning in a corporate, government, or institutional environment.
Professional certifications (e.g., IFMA's Facility Management Professional (FMP) or Certified Facility Manager (CFM)).
Advanced knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and building automation systems.
Experience with project planning, scheduling, and contract management.
Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or facility management software.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, lead small teams, and drive cross-functional initiatives.
Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy efficiency improvements in building operations.
