American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Eureka, California.

Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in California caring for high-risk OB patients with required Epic experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of an acute care hospital
  • Care for a culturally diverse and high-risk obstetric population
  • RNs will circulate on cesarean sections
  • 12-hour night shifts (18 : 00–06 : 30), working every other weekend
  • Floating required between Labor & Delivery and like units, as well as to affiliate hospitals nearby
  • Uses Epic EMR system
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Responsibilities include circulating on cesarean sections and providing care for high-risk OB patients
  • Expected to float between all units and affiliate facilities as needed
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Holiday coverage required for at least 2 out of 3 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
  • RTO (requested time off) must be submitted at time of application
  • Scrub color is any solid color, with Royal Blue or Navy typically worn
  • Free parking is available on the first day with assignment parking provided during orientation

  • Active CA RN license required at time of application
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience
  • Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, NRP
  • Experience with Epic charting required
  • Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 recent year in a comparable specialty
  • Compliance with a 50-mile radius rule for local candidates
  • Returning former staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
