Join a stable precision manufacturer in Batavia, IL serving custom machining and machine rebuilds for packaging equipment and engineered systems. This is a direct-hire, first-shift role built for a CNC pro who can program, set up, and run Haas VMCs with confidence.

Take an engineering drawing and build a right-first-time CAM program?
Choose the right tools, feeds / speeds, and workholding for accuracy and throughput?
Set up a Haas 3–4 axis VMC, run first-article parts, and dial in quality?
Troubleshoot chatter, tool wear, or finish issues without missing a beat?

What you’ll tackle

Programming in Mastercam (or similar CAM)

Setting up and operating Haas CNC mills for precision components

Fixture design / build, plus process optimization for repeatable results

Inspection with calipers, gauges, and basic metrology tools

Secondary operations : deburring, drilling, tapping; occasional manual machining

Partnering with engineering and senior machinists on improvements

Keeping the work area safe, clean, and organized; supporting adjacent shop work as needed

Must-haves

2+ years CNC milling setup / operation

1+ year Mastercam or equivalent CAM experience

Blueprint / engineering drawing literacy

Competence with calipers and basic inspection gear

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset

Able to lift up to 40 lbs; stand throughout the shift

Comfort in a non-climate-controlled environment

High school diploma or GED

Ability to read and write in English

Nice-to-haves

Proven process optimization wins in CNC milling

Fixture design / build experience

Manual machining background

Experience in machine rebuild or custom equipment settings

Schedule and stability

Consistent weekday first shift with occasional overtime. A clean, organized shop with long-tenured teammates and 30+ years of steady business.
