Duties, Responsibilities & Other

KCI is looking for a motivated Building Structures Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our team. This opportunity is intended for Spring 2026 graduates, with the position starting in Summer 2026.

The engineer shall perform structural analysis, complete design tasks, and develop construction drawings for concrete, wood, and steel structures that are related to buildings or other types of vertical construction.

• New design will encompass a variety of building types including, but not limited to : community centers, low-to-mid-rise construction, multi-family residential over podium, and high-rise construction (approximately 30-40 stories), along with other unique specialty structures.
• Assignments will include, but are not limited to : design and analysis, utilization of engineering design software, documentation (using BIM software), process study, research investigations, report preparation, on-site inspections, and other activities requiring knowledge of structural design principles and techniques commonly employed in unique structural applications.
