ERP Report Writer

A major client of ours has a need for a Business Systems Report Writer (ERP) for their Shelton, CT location. This is an onsite position and a contract to hire, with conversion after 60‑90 days. W2 only.

Business Systems Report Writer

will play a critical role in providing business intelligence information. This position will support our enterprise operations by developing, modifying, and maintaining reports and dashboards within our ERP and Business systems. The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical skills, be detail‑oriented, and be passionate about transforming data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. This position reports to the Business Systems Manager.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards within the Epicor Kinetic ERP and Business Systems, leveraging native system report writers, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and Business Intelligence tools.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective data solutions in response to user requests.

Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of data presented in reports.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to report generation and data integrity.

Continuously improve reporting processes and tools to enhance business intelligence capabilities.

Develop a system to document report specifications, data sources, and logic for future reference and auditing.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Basic understanding of databases, data structures, and reporting concepts.

Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Epicor Kinetic.

Experience or interest in learning reporting tools and technologies.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and SSRS reporting.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non‑technical stakeholders.
