Job description

Team Lead, Work Plan Execution

Spire is seeking a Team Lead, Workplan Execution. The team is responsible for the planning and assigning of scheduled and emergency work for a functional group within the Workplan Execution department. This position will assist in the coordination and direction of the day-to-day activities for all tactical work efforts. Provide supervisory guidance and direction to ensure that the department is functioning productively, efficiently, in accordance with the Company's policies and procedures.

Manage the daily activities and provide supervisory-type guidance and direction to the Workplan Execution employees engaged in Scheduling, Planning and Emergency Response

Ensure accurate and timely response to customer needs

Serve as liaison between the Workplan Execution team and the IT field support team

Work with Customer Experience, Continuous Improvement, Transformation, Field Operations, IT, and Operations Support to identify, improve, and implement best practices and process improvements

Advise on development of reporting dashboards and reports in Excel, Oracle Business Intelligence, and Tableau in order to drive operational effectiveness

Ensure consistent use of technology across all Companies within Spire

Assist work group in maintaining focus on meeting company and compliance goals

Maintain regular communication between similar roles within Spire and between all Company groups related to or impacting Field Operations

Ensure employee growth by providing challenges and opportunities for individuals to excel and advance within the Company

Ensure annual performance appraisals are conducted and completed in accordance to the outlined procedure

Oversee system testing and changes before changes are moved to production

Back up and assist other department employees as necessary

Research inquiries from internal customers and provide feedback

Perform the duties of Manager, Workplan Execution when necessary

All other duties as assigned.

Ability to make difficult decisions and communicate those decisions to others

The following additional skills are a plus :

Experience in collecting and analyzing data, process improvement, and relationship building is preferred

Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint or similar applications preferred

Proven experience utilizing data analytics / visualization

Ability to model out the operational impacts of decision alternatives

Working knowledge of Click, Customer Care and Billing by Oracle, and Maximo, is valued

High school diploma / GED required

Bachelor's degree preferred or at least 5 years of experience in a role that emphasizes the knowledge, skills and abilities listed above

Demonstrated ability to learn business functions and processes beyond area of expertise, drawing connections to the bigger picture

Ability to analyze complex data sets from multiple systems to aid decision making

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in order to meet individual goals and deadlines

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Ability to manage and development people for results

Ability to make independent decisions and delegate in a quick paced environment that is in the best interest of Spire

Ability to work as part of a team and display a positive attitude for this dynamic environment

Ability to recognize problems and respond, systematically gather information, sort through complex issues, understand consequences of decisions, seeks input from others

Normal office conditions

Is subject to be called out during non-working hours for emergency assignments

Requires frequent phone calls and interruption both during and after working hours

May require work during nonstandard business hours

Occasional travel may be required
