Job Title : Financial Analyst / Accounts Receivable Analyst

Job Location : Tucson, AZ 85755

Job Duration : 12 months contract on W2 (Chances for contract extension and possibility for FTE)

Job Description :

The Accounts Receivable Analyst is responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable lifecycle process.

The AR Analyst will support invoicing and accounting operations for pharma partnerships, focusing on data analysis, payment processing, and external communications.

This role is not accounting-heavy (e.g., journal entries or bookkeeping) but requires strong analytical, organizational, and research abilities.

The ideal candidate will combine accounting and operational expertise with strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities :

Identifying and submitting posting corrections.

Resolve cash application discrepancies using reporting to identify discrepancies.

Investigate and resolve customer discrepancies, billing issues, and payment disputes in a professional and timely manner through cross-functional collaboration.

Analyze and manage the accounts receivable aging, identifying trends, and mitigating risk to improve collection effectiveness.

Prepare and present regular reports on AR performance, aging analysis, and collection forecasts.

Collaborate with Business Development, Customer Service, and Project Management teams to resolve client issues and optimize the overall order-to-cash cycle.

Support the month-end close process with AR reconciliations and aging report reviews.

Ensure compliance with all company policies, accounting principles, and relevant financial regulations.

Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and automation within the AR function.

Strong Communication Skills - comfortable in external, client-facing interactions.

Research-Oriented and Detail-Focused - able to analyze products, data, and financial trends effectively.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

Experience with SAP ERP (Not necessarily required).

Background in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry (Not necessarily required).

Education & Experience :

Associate degree or higher required (Bachelor s or Master s preferred).

Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience; candidates with a Master s may qualify with less experience.

Experience in Accounts Receivable, financial operations, or data analytics strongly preferred.

Hands-on experience in Google Workspace (Sheets, XLOOKUP and Index formulas) and MS Office Suite.
