City Treasurer
Reporting to the City Board of Directors and under administrative direction of the City Manager, the City Treasurer directs and supervises accounting staff and the overall operation of the Finance and Utility Billing Departments, including payroll, receivables and payables, retirement pensions, customer service operations, monitors cash flow and directs the receipts, deposits, and investments of all City monies. Monitors expenditures and budget condition. Addresses complaints and resolves accounting and finance issues. Manages preparation of department budgets, bonds, statements, and reports on the financial affairs to the City Board and the City Manager. Monitors expenditures and budget condition.

The employee is required to stand, talk and hear. There are prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, exempt position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m., however, additional hours may be required.
Travel
Could have local travel to various work sites and travel for personal education.
