TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU / Critical Care RN in Silverdale, Washington, 98383!

$2,296 per week

About The Position

Job Title : ICU Nursing Float

Profession : RN (Registered Nurse)

Specialty : ICU Nursing

Duration : 13 Weeks

Shift : 12H Days, Every Other Weekend

Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week

Experience : Minimum 2 years of ICU experience

License : WA or Compact License required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Must-Have :

  • Two years of ICU experience
  • Ability to take Swans, IABP, and Impella
  • Ability to float to MedSurg and take a full assignment
  • Ability to advocate for own skill set

Description :

The position involves working in a float pool that includes ICU, ED Boarders (in-patients only), all MedSurg units, and Observation units.

Ratios for ICU are 1 : 1 or 1 : 2, while PCU or ED ratios are 1 : 3-4, and lower acuity MedSurg ratios are 1 : 5-6.

RNs are required to titrate drips in critical care and PCU units.

Common titratable or set rate drips include sedation, vasoactive medications, and paralytics.

Charge Nurse or House Supervisor roles are expected on each unit, and staffing depends on the unit.

RNs will be expected to manage respiratory therapy equipment, including vents, CPAP, and BiPAP.

All units have technology for monitoring, and RNs must be able to read telemetry strips.

The schedule is flexible and may accommodate weekend and holiday requirements.

Daily assignments are communicated via phone about an hour to a half an hour before the shift starts.

Professional scrubs are required, with business casual attire for training.

There is no call or standby requirement associated with this position.

The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts during the 13-week assignment period.
