Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and adaptable clinical professional to join our mobile healthcare team. This unique travel role involves providing both Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy services to various clinics across Ohio. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, proficient in both skill sets, and eager to learn specialized point-of-care technology.

Compensation

This role offers premium, competitive compensation, including differential pay based on the duties performed :

  • Medical Assistant Duties : $35.00 per hour
  • Phlebotomist Duties : $30.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Medical Assistant (MA) Duties

  • Travel to various clinics and healthcare facilities across the designated Iowa region.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and assist clinicians during procedures.
  • Take and record vital signs, patient history, and chief complaints.
  • Administer injections and medications as directed by a clinician.
  • Ensure accurate and thorough documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Maintain strict compliance with all clinical policies and procedures.
  • Phlebotomist Duties

  • Perform venipuncture, capillary sticks, and other blood collection procedures efficiently and safely for a diverse patient population.
  • Process and prepare collected specimens for laboratory testing and transport, ensuring specimen integrity.
  • Manage and restock mobile phlebotomy supply inventory.
  • Maintain a high standard of patient care and comfort during all collection procedures.
  • Specialized Training and Duties

  • Training Included : The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training on the use of portable ultrasound machines for specific clinical and procedural applications.
  • New Technology Integration : Utilize and maintain portable diagnostic equipment in a mobile setting.
  • Qualifications

    Required

  • Certification or Registration as a Medical Assistant (MA) (e.g., CMA, RMA, CCMA, etc.).
  • Formal Phlebotomy training / certification with a minimum of 1-2 years of recent, verifiable experience.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively to clinics around the state of Ohio.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Preferred

  • Experience in a mobile, travel, or float healthcare role.
  • Proficiency with various Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
