We are seeking an
- experienced Associate Attorney
- with a strong background in
- business transactions, tax planning, and IRS dispute resolution
- to support our expanding client base of families and business owners. The ideal candidate will also have experience assisting with
- probate and trust administration
- Responsibilities :
- Advise clients on business transactions
- , including entity formation, contract drafting / review, mergers, acquisitions, and related corporate matters.
- Represent clients in IRS dispute resolution
- , including audits, appeals, collections, and related controversies.
- Support clients with
- probate and trust administration
- , including court filings, required notices, and guiding personal representatives and trustees through the process.
- Assist with
- guardianship, conservatorship, and contested probate litigation
- when needed.
- Prepare
- estate planning documents
- —such as revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, and powers of attorney—when assisting the estate planning team.
- Build strong relationships with clients, understanding business and family dynamics to deliver tailored solutions.
- Stay current on
- Arizona and federal tax, business, probate, and estate planning laws
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality, detail-oriented, and compassionate legal service.
- Compensation :
- Production-based pay structure with performance bonus.
- Salary range is $100,000 - $150,000, plus bonus based on production, commensurate with experience and performance.
- Requirements :
- 3–5 years of experience in business transactions, tax planning, or IRS dispute resolution
- (experience in probate and estate planning is a plus).
- Strong knowledge of
- federal tax law and Arizona business law
- ; familiarity with Arizona probate code and estate planning best practices preferred.
- Excellent
- drafting, negotiation, and client counseling skills
- , with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
- Active member in good standing with the
- Arizona State Bar
- Skills :
- Strong legal research skills using resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
- Strong writing and communication skills, especially in client-facing settings.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple estate planning and probate matters simultaneously.
- Empathy and professionalism in working with families and individuals through sensitive planning discussions.
- Exceptional attention to detail in document preparation and file management.
