Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Perform comprehensive inspections on incoming used vehicle inventory.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues across various makes and models.
  • Conduct routine maintenance services (oil changes, brake jobs, tire rotations, etc.).
  • Identify and document needed repairs using approved inspection forms.
  • Collaborate with service advisors and managers to prioritize repairs based on resale needs.
  • Ensure all work meets dealership quality standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Test drive vehicles to confirm repairs and proper function.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment efficiently and accurately.
  • Keep detailed records of services performed on each vehicle.
  • Assist in ordering parts and communicating delays or issues with service advisors / sales managers
  • Ensures work area is kept clean and organized, including trash, scrap and floor cleaned daily.
  • Understand and follow federal, state and local regulations, governing service repair work.
  • Job Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician (used vehicle experience preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • PA State Inspection License Required
  • PA State Emissions License Required; OBDII Emissions preferred.
  • ASE certifications are a plus (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with vehicle diagnostic systems and software.
