Pediatric ICU Physician Locum Opportunity Near VARNVILLE, SC

    • Practice Description

    We are urgently seeking a Pediatric Intensivist to join our team for a locum tenens opportunity near VARNVILLE, SC. This position offers an excellent opportunity to provide critical care services to pediatric patients in a dynamic healthcare environment.

    Job Responsibilities

    As a Pediatric ICU Physician, your responsibilities will include :

  • General rounding and patient care responsibilities followed by on-call duties
  • Providing comprehensive care to pediatric patients in the intensive care unit
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient treatment plans
  • Managing critical care procedures and interventions as needed
  • Maintaining accurate and thorough medical records using EMR systems
  • Ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the treatment process

    • Job Requirements

    To be considered for this position, you must meet the following requirements :

  • Active South Carolina License and DEA - REQUIRED
  • Board Certification in Pediatric Intensive Care - REQUIRED
  • ACLS, NRP Certification - REQUIRED
  • Availability for urgent shifts listed in the job description - REQUIRED
  • Clean Background - REQUIRED

  • PICU Beds / Peds : 6 beds, 2 observation beds
  • EMR Systems : Meditech and Medimobile
  • Average Daily Census : 4.3 admissions (2023)
  • Annual Births : 2,800
  • Daily Patient Load : 2-4 patients per day
  • Subspecialty Backup Onsite : Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric GI Surgery, Neonatology Services
  • Remote Pediatric Cardiology Support

    • Submission Requirements

  • Certification Requirements : ACLS, Board Certified, DEA, NRP
  • State License Requirements : South Carolina
  • Additional License Requirements : Standard Pediatric Intensivist Certification
