Family Practice - Without OB Physician

Job Description :

• Responsibilities include providing patient medical care to all age groups in an office-based setting, delivering diagnostic and therapeutic medical services, and making sound medical assessments and treatment plans.
• Outpatient setting
• 36 clinical hours + 4 administrative hours (working schedule TBD by practice to include some on call and rotating Saturday shifts) :
• Disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery
• Treatment of acute illnesses
• Treatment of acute injuries
• Prescribes and administers medications, performs routine vaccinations, and provides advice regarding personal health and hygiene
• Requests necessary tests and follow-up visits and refers patients to specialists, as necessary
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
• Provides direction to both clinical and reception support staff
• Proper and complete medical documentation (without copy / paste) for all patient care in order to assure accuracy (above 80% with goal of 95%) of E / M coding and closing / sign off after review of all patient charts in accordance with company policies Failure to meet this essential job function can affect the eligibility for productivity / PCN (percent net collection) bonuses
• Approximately 20-25 patients per day
• Proper and complete medical documentation (without copy / paste) for all patient care in order to assure accuracy of HCC coding. Failure to meet this essential job function can affect the eligibility for VBC bonuses
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
• Strong computer skills with prior electronic medical record (EMR) use preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, hospital personnel and community members
• Skills to perform patient treatment procedures for most acute illnesses or injuries
• Remains calm and effective in high pressure and emergency situations
