Position Summary
The Structured Reinsurance Underwriter leads the reinsurance underwriting business of the company. This role is responsible for managing the underwriting of reinsurance for captive reinsurers in connection with structured risk solutions for corporate and institutional clients and for the development and oversight of structured reinsurance opportunities supporting professional insurers and reinsurers. This leadership position is responsible for ensuring profitable and sustainable growth for carrier markets. In addition to collaboratively supporting the company's structured insurance business, this senior-level staff position works collaboratively with (re)insurer-clients and brokers to provide bespoke, structured reinsurance solutions to client-insurers while building a profitable portfolio of assumed risk for represented reinsurers. USQRisk is a leading, global alternative risk transfer MGU providing structured (re)insurance solutions for complex and unique risks.
What will your job entail?
Key Responsibilities
Report to Chief Underwriting Officer.
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments focusing on client risk, including coverage, exposure, safety features, and industry.
Build and maintain long-term professional relationships with business stakeholders, including clients, brokers, represented reinsurers and captive managers.
Provide mentorship and training to underwriters, ensuring technical excellence, adherence to goals and guidelines, and effective use of systems.
Qualifications
This position requires a proven market leader with deep technical expertise in property & casualty underwriting and structured insurance and reinsurance solutions. The successful candidate will combine strategic vision with hands-on underwriting acumen, ensuring USQRisk continues to deliver innovative risk transfer solutions for insurers and reinsurers.
Required : State P&C and / or surplus lines licenses.

The target salary range for this position is $220,000.00 - $275,000.00 annually.
The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
