Solution Architect III

1Finity is seeking a Solution Architect III to be responsible for the deployment, implementation and migration of new and existing layer 2 and layer 3 network network elements, across multiple OEM vendor platforms and across a wide array of customers in the telecom, public and private sector. Our Solution Architect III will be considered a subject matter expert and will support onsite and remote implementation and commissioning and migration of data networks as well as augmenting existing networks. Vendor experience needed for this role include a focus on Juniper, Cisco, Nokia and / or Ciena routing solutions. OEM Certifications including but not limited to are JNCIP-ENT, JNCIS-ENT, JNCIP-SP, JNCIS-SP, CCIE EI, Nokia SRA, Ciena CRS-P or CRS-C are beneficial for this role. Our Solution Architect team is responsible for designing, building, and operating global, intelligent network infrastructure to meet the requirements of high availability, scalability, and high-performance.

Client is seeking a candidate who is able to commit to a year-long assignment with possible extension or conversion to FTE.

Must Haves :

1. 7+ years experience with a deep understanding of OSI Layer 3 protocols and migration experience, with a general understanding of Layer 1 & 2 technologies including but not limited to long haul DWDM transport elements, MPLS routed traffic, fixed fiber access, and metro Ethernet services from design, through integration, test and turn up, and operations.

2. Expertise with provisioning and commissioning of the following vendor equipment :

o Juniper QFX switch, MX480 and MX960

o Cisco : 1K, 540, 5501, 55A1, 9K

o Nokia : 7250 IXRS / IXRE, 7750 SR, 7705 SAR-8 / 12

3. Layer 3 Router Protocol experience 4. Experience engineering (performing and executing) Layer 3 Migrations with any carrier (Verizon experience is a plus)

Nice to Haves :

OEM Certifications including but not limited to are JNCIP-ENT, JNCIS-ENT, JNCIP-SP, JNCIS-SP, CCIE EI, Nokia SRA, Ciena CRS-P or CRS-C are beneficial for this role.

Location :

• Remote role - has to be performed within the US.
• 20% travel to Richardson, TX for training or lab time
• Travel to other areas as necessary (rare at this time)
• Must be able to support regular daytime office hours AND support maintenance windows (nighttime hours), as well, a few times a month
