We are seeking an experienced leader to serve as General Manager of a luxury boutique resort located on a private island in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. In this role, you will oversee all operational and administrative functions to ensure our guests enjoy an unforgettable experience. As the face of our brand, you will lead by example to cultivate a culture of exceptional service delivery and teamwork. This hands-on role requires someone with proven success in opening and managing luxury hotels to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic and annual operating plans to maximize ROI
- Manage all departments including Food & Beverage, Rooms, Engineering, Housekeeping, and Accounts
- Define service standards and rollout training to build a multi-skilled team committed to excellence
- Oversee pre-opening projects such as hiring, staff training, systems implementation, and guest readiness
- Ensure flawless guest experiences through active leadership, communication, and issue resolution
- Monitor KPIs and financial performance to make data-driven operational decisions
- Lead a culture of continuous improvement through feedback, innovation, and professional development
- Represent the brand through community outreach and industry networking
Required Skills and Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of luxury hotel management experience, including past pre-opening experienceTrack record of successfully creating exceptional guest experiences and leading top-performing teamsProven ability to build remote teams and implement service excellence across all operationsStrong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L managementExpertise in strategic planning, project management, process improvement, and change leadershipHospitality or business degree required; advanced degree preferredAvailability and willingness to relocate to a remote island environmentHigh emotional intelligence and ability to resolve conflicts professionallyPossession of poise, integrity, and passionate commitment to service standardsMust have a private island experience
