Cybersecurity Operations Center Analyst – On-Site (Riverchase Operations Center, Hoover, Alabama)
Regions invites performance-driven professionals to join our Cyber Security team. As a Cybersecurity Operations Center Analyst you will analyze, identify, and document cybersecurity information and risks in support of our overall security posture.
Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze and respond to cyber threats within various security tools according to documented procedures.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Cyber Security / Technology departments to document and communicate security risks.
- Support a feedback loop related to information and events to improve analysis precision and accuracy.
- Review Policies, Standards, and Procedures for process improvement.
- Participate in threat hunting, tabletop exercises, and incident response on a rotational duty basis.
- Maintain meticulous records of all work performed, including root-cause analysis, indicators of compromise, remediation steps, timeline of events, and impact assessment.
- Stay abreast of global cybersecurity threat trends.
- Document security posture and assess the environment for relevant IOCs and gaps.
- Assist with various security assessments such as Security Architecture Reviews, Red Team and Purple Team engagements, and formal tabletop exercises.
- Analyze software for violations of Regions Cyber Security standards.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED plus two (2) years of related post-secondary education and / or experience in Information Security or Information Technology.Willingness to become familiar with regulatory requirements and industry standards (GLBA, PCI-DSS, NIST, etc.).Willingness and availability to work on a pre-determined shift and rotational on-call.Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of or willingness to learn Cloud Security concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP).Minimum of one (1) relevant certification in Information Security or willingness to obtain one within 12 months (e.g., CompTIA Network+ / Security+ / CySA+, CEH, CCNA, CCNA-Security, GIAC GSEC, CDSA).Skills and Competencies
Self-starter with initiative and drive for continuous improvement.Team-oriented and collaborative.Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.Familiarity with malware analysis, computer forensics, cyber incident response, network intrusion detection, packet analysis, penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, compliance, audit, or cyber threat intelligence.Investigative and problem-solving skills.Strong organizational, research, analytical skills to evaluate situations and respond appropriately.Understanding of information security principles, controls, and technologies.Additional Job Requirements
Experience with Endpoint Protection.SIEM experience.Preferably SOC experience.Analysis or data skills preferred.Work Hours and On-Call
Candidate must be willing to work 10 am to 7 pm CST Monday–Friday and participate in a weekend on-call rotation.
Work Location
This position is on-site at the Riverchase Operations Center in Hoover, Alabama. The role requires a reasonable driving distance to a Branch, Consumer Operations, or Professional Office Building.

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference. The target for this position is $57,418.35 USD (minimum) with a median of $81,100.00 USD.
