Hi, this is Asim from BOTG! We’re partnering with a direct client to hire a dedicated and detail-oriented Housing Specialist in Cincinnati, OH.

Position Overview

You’ll be responsible for managing the certification and eligibility process for families participating in the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) / Section 8 Program. This includes verifying applicant information, calculating rent payments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with federal and local housing regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct interviews and verify applicant eligibility for HCV / Section 8 programs

Process certifications, changes, and updates in the housing system

Calculate rent, utilities, and assistance payments

Communicate effectively with clients, landlords, and community partners

Prepare reports, letters, and other documentation using Microsoft Office and internal software

Deliver excellent customer service aligned with agency standards

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in social services, community relations, or a related field

College coursework in Business, Social Work, or Communications (or equivalent experience)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Strong math and analytical skills

Excellent communication and customer service abilities

Knowledge of HUD regulations is a plus

Must obtain Housing Specialist certification within 12 months of hire
