Solar Farm Technician II

The Solar Farm Technician II performs preventative and corrective maintenance for all scopes of an operating power plant including civil mechanical and electrical inspection and repair.

Role Responsibilities :

• Test maintain and troubleshoot solar PV electrical and mechanical equipment
• Ensure that all tasks are performed safely and by site operating procedures
• Complete Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) JSAs Permit to Work and job-specific documentation that is required to conduct inspection maintenance and repairs in a safe manner
• Proactively look for improvement opportunities to job appropriate processes and procedures
• Perform data collection and prepare reports to meet reporting requirements
• Perform balance of plant and switchyard work as required
• Monitor the activities of maintenance contractors and ensure corrective actions where appropriate
• Perform electrical testing as necessary including insulation and thermal testing
• Document all work and generate reports as necessary
• Use Microsoft Office for communication presentation and documentation
• Use computer software in support of maintenance and troubleshooting
• Identify gaps in safety standards and safety risks in the environment
• At times may assist with BOP activities
• Respond quickly to emergencies or situations requiring immediate troubleshooting and corrective actions
• Ensure site access site HSE security deliveries and inspections are performed by site protocols
• Interface with any 3rd party contractors working at our facilities
• Available to respond to nontraditional operating hours for operations maintenance and emergent issues including emergent abnormal operating conditions execution of maintenance tracking work orders resolution of O&M issues
• Operate mobile equipment including mowers forklift tractor excavator and motor vehicles
• Represent the company in a professional manner with contractor and vendor relations as well as during partnership opportunities within the community
• All other duties as assigned

Pay range : The hourly base range for this position in California is $ 32.52 - $ 44.00 . The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position candidates education & work experience training & certifications and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
