Role Overview :
This position involves advanced architectural and engineering work requiring in-depth technical expertise and specialized education in the fields of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Technology Engineering.
Your Impact :
Lead the MEPT team for a designated territory by fostering strong client relationships and driving business development and marketing efforts that support the firm’s strategic and financial goals.
Provide hands-on leadership and mentorship to the MEPT staff within your assigned office.
Oversee project coordination across all disciplines and departments to ensure seamless collaboration, timely delivery, and superior quality outcomes.
Uphold LEAF Engineers’ high standards by producing original, innovative, and technically sound design solutions in MEP and Technology systems.
Communicate clearly and professionally—both in writing and verbally—with clients, internal leadership, project teams, contractors, and consultants.
Maintain accurate project documentation throughout all stages—from design and construction to closeout and warranty review.
Collaborate with senior leadership on project progress, team development, and operational performance.
Support company leadership with project management, client relations, and team development initiatives.
Prepare detailed engineering proposals, budgets, and cost estimates for Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Technology, Fire Alarm, and Fire Sprinkler systems.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 12 years of experience with an AEC or engineering consulting firm.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering discipline.
Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for reviewing and validating project design accuracy.
Ability and willingness to conduct on-site inspections and field observations.
Proven ability to manage project budgets and timelines effectively.
Preferred Skills and Experience :
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Project experience within the K–12 education sector.
Proficiency with MEP calculations and Title-24 documentation using EnergyPro or comparable software.
For California offices : direct experience with DSA submittals and T-24 energy compliance documentation for K–12 projects.
