Operating Room RN Job Details

Location : Rutland, Vermont (05701) – Vermont nursing jobs

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse position

Unit : Operating Room (OR) – Surgical nursing

Start Date : November 3, 2025

End Date : January 31, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : 10-hour rotating day / evening shifts, 40 hours per week, with on-call responsibilities

Estimated Weekly Pay : $2320 - $2490

Orientation : Biweekly sessions for travel nurses

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – must obtain Vermont RN license upon acceptance

Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience

BLS certification required

Orthopedic OR nursing experience highly preferred

Scrub nurse experience highly preferred

Cerner EMR experience preferred

Ability to provide a complete and accurate work history, including facility details and explanations for any employment gaps over 30 days

Must have own vehicle (no public transportation available)

Local candidates are not eligible for this travel RN job

Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver safe, high-quality patient care in the Operating Room, specializing in orthopedic surgical procedures

Perform circulating and, if qualified, scrub nurse duties during surgical cases

Participate in scheduled on-call rotation

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR (preferred)

Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards

Attend orientation and ongoing clinical training as required
