About the Role

You’ll guide the use of machine learning to optimize processes, uncover insights, and enable smarter decisions across the R&D pipeline—from early discovery to late-stage development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, design, and delivery of machine learning solutions that address high-value challenges across R&D and scientific operations.
• Collaborate closely with research scientists, data engineers, and business stakeholders to translate scientific and operational needs into actionable ML projects.
• Evaluate and implement cutting-edge ML techniques (including deep learning, NLP, computer vision, and time series analysis) to advance modeling capabilities.
• Play an active role in technical mentorship and knowledge sharing, supporting the growth of AI capabilities across the organization.
• Establish strong internal relationships and contribute to cross-functional working groups, partnerships, and thought leadership efforts.
• Stay informed on emerging ML trends, evaluating their relevance to current and future strategies.
• Contribute to developing and maintaining ethical, transparent AI practices in collaboration with governance and compliance teams.
• Support external collaborations and represent the organization at industry events or forums.
