Job description

We are currently assisting our client, a leading supplier in the construction equipment industry, in their search for an experienced Field Service Technician. The Field Service Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing the company's rental and customer-owned equipment.

Job Description :

  • Diagnosing, inspecting and repairing various types of forestry and other earth moving equipment
  • Servicing rentals, and customer-owned equipment
  • Utilizing electrical, hydraulic and computer-controlled systems knowledge
  • Communicating effectively with customers, supervisors, and vendors
  • Driving to / from company locations and job sites
  • Being on call
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs

Qualifications :

  • 3-5 years’ experience as a mechanic repairing and maintaining heavy equipment
  • Positive customer service and communication skills
  • Experience using laptop computers and scan tools for diagnostic trouble-shooting
  • Ability to complete tasks without direct supervision
  • Safe work habits and a “can do” job completion attitude
  • Ability to read schematics (both electrical and hydraulic)
  • Experience in troubleshooting various heavy equipment product lines
  • Required to have your own hand tools up to 1 ½ inch
  • Ability to perform thorough and accurate annual inspections
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Able to pass a drug screen and background check
  • Valid Washington or Oregon State or Idaho Driver’s License, CDL endorsement is Required
