Day to Day

The day would begin with performing various monitoring activities and health checks. These tasks include checking job status, reviewing operational dashboards, and checking / reviewing email notifications. The next phase of the day would be focused on incident response and problem management. These tasks would include incident ticket assignments, troubleshooting monitoring alerts, and providing technical assistance to our customers. There will be some project work involvement, training / knowledge sharing events, system maintenance and remediation tasks, and various continued improvement activities.

The Team

The Unix Operations team consists of a group of approximately 11 technicians. The group handles operational availability and various system changes. This team also performs various maintenance activities which would include HW / SW maintenance, security vulnerability management, and project support. The team is very collaborative and highly motivated.
