This position may be onsite or remote.

The Work :

The interpreter will provide interpretationto reach individuals with a language barrier.Interpretation will consist of but not limited to Education, legal, Medical, Environmental, and Social Services, etc.

This position performs all duties and responsibilitiesin accordance withthe Mission, Vision, and Core Values of Cayuse.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities :

Accurately interpreting spoken work situations like lectures, conversations, and meetings.

Utilizing technology to transcribe spoken English in some settings.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications – Here's What You Need :

High School / BA Degree or equivalent in years of experience

Experience interpreting in a professional setting

Must be able to pass a background check. May requireadditionalbackground checks as required by projects and / or clients at any time during employment.

Mustpossessproblem-solving skills.

Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written

Ability to respond effectively to customers with a sense ofurgency.

Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.

Highly motivated with the ability to handle and manage multiple tasks at any onetime.

Ability to forge new relationships, individual and teaming innature.

Must be a Self-starter, that can work independently and as part of ateam.

Reports to : Deputy Program Manager

Working Conditions

Professionalenvironment.

Must be able to be on-call. Interpreter will be notifiedwithin 48hours of potential jobs.

Must be able to traveltodifferent locationsto interpret in-person.

Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time.

Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.

Must be able toestablisha productive and professional workspace.

Must be able to sit forlong periodsof time looking at computer screen.

May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays.

May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes.

May be asked to work hoursoutsideof normal business hours.

USD $45.00 - USD $65.00 / Hr.
