Maintenance / Construction Technician III
This position performs skilled work in the maintenance, repair, and / or construction of buildings and facilities. Work requires specialization in two or more technical trades that supports the maintenance of facilities and related equipment / machinery. Employees will function at the journey level in multiple skilled trades such as electrical, plumbing, masonry, heating and air, or similar specializations. Must effectively function with limited oversight and seek input from higher level trade specialists in the completion of novel maintenance problems and issues. Responsible for diagnosing problems with facilities (including mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems), purchasing required materials, repairing the issue and closing work orders. Responsible for processing invoices and maintaining accurate financial records and vehicle logs.
The position is based in Fayetteville, NC, but the selected candidate will travel to multiple North Carolina National Guard facilities in the Southeast Region of the state on a daily basis. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits.

Experience in Refrigerant Management and experience in the preventive maintenance, installation, repair and troubleshooting of commercial and residential HVAC systems and equipment are optional but preferred.
High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma AND two (2) years of progressive experience in the assigned trade areas OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
