Position Summary : As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and delivering exceptional patient care tailored to the specific age group of the patients you serve. You will treat patients, their families, and your colleagues with respect and consideration.\n\nRequirements\n\nEducation : Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.\n\nCertifications / Licenses : Valid RN license in New Mexico or another compact state. BLS Certification required, or to be obtained within two weeks of hire. All other required certifications must be obtained within six months of hiring. Maintenance of required certifications is expected without a grace period for renewal.\n\nSkills : \n
- Up-to-date knowledge and skills relevant to the patient population.\n
- Awareness and sensitivity to patient rights in providing care.\n
- Clear communication, tailored to the developmental level of the patient.\n\nSupervision : \n\nYou will report directly to the Patient Care Director or Manager.\n\nWork Environment : \n
- Exposure to bloodborne pathogens (C or B) depending on the area of patient care.\n
- Working conditions include a clean, well-lit, and ventilated environment, free from smoke.\n
- Anticipate some stressful professional interactions and flexible working hours due to possible schedule changes and emergencies.\n\nPhysical Requirements : This role demands the ability to respond effectively to emergency situations. You should be ready for prolonged standing and walking, and able to lift or transfer patients and equipment. The position requires considerable physical effort and flexibility, including reaching, stooping, and bending. Good hearing and vision (correctable if needed) are necessary, along with manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
