Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for a senior electrical engineer.
Responsibilities include :
- The design of electrical systems for dams, hydropower and utility engineering projects
- Preparing plans and specifications of electrical systems for bidding and construction
- Project management and / or technical leadership on large and / or complex projects
- Providing construction administration and site visits
- Mentoring staff; coordinating work and communication between subcontractors, teaming partners and suppliers
- Client management
Some travel will be required.
The successful candidate must have all of the following :
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in electrical engineering from an accredited college or universityAt least eighteen (18) years of relevant electrical engineering experienceA PE in any state with the ability to obtain in additional states within six (6) months of hireThe ideal candidate will have any / all of the following :
Experience with / proficiency in interpreting power and controls schematicsUnderstanding of / experience with technical equipment operations and maintenance manuals (O&M) and experience analyzing equipment failuresExperience with arc flash hazards and program developmentKnowledge of variable frequency drives (VFD) and industrial pumpsExperience using MODBUS communication for controlsUnderstanding of medium voltage distribution systemsExperience with power system studies, system planning and operations, and equipment specificationsKnowledge of / experience the coordination with other engineering fieldsIf you have strong communication and organizational skills, are someone who takes initiative, and can work well both independently and as part of a team, complete the online application process for this job posting at www.meadhunt.com / careers.

Salary Range : $140,000 to $204,000 - Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as : experience, skill set or location.
