Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator

Ryder is immediately hiring a permanent full-time Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in Raleigh, North Carolina. Warehouse positions pay weekly.

Hourly Pay : $17.12 per hour

Additional Pay : $1.00 shift premium

Schedule : First Shift 7 : 00am-3 : 30pm (flexibility to adjust to a 6 : 00am start may be required; depending on business needs)

Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent

Must have a clean driving record and a personal vehicle and travel within the area approximately 25-50% of the day

Strong technical aptitude which includes using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, scanners and enter orders into a WMS System

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted

Must be able to work both indoors and outside

Responsibilities :

Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions

Recognize and correct potential process errors before actions adversely affect the customer

Recognize damaged product at any point in the warehousing process and take appropriate action when discovered

Pull orders accurately as assigned

Stage orders according to carrier location and verify : number of pallets picked as well as stage location

Prepare receiving, storage and shipping documentation retaining product accountability throughout the logistical process

Be aware of and follow location and work center Safety and Security policies and procedures

May be required to train others in various warehouse functions, including the safe operation of various powered industrial lift equipment, perform housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned

Operate fork-lift equipment or other warehouse machinery
