Community Services Officer I / Ii (Flex)
The City of Corona has an exciting opportunity to join our Police Department as a Community Services Officer I / II (Flex). The Community Services Officer I / II performs various non-sworn field and office support duties in support of Police Department operations. The Community Services Officer II position is distinguished from the Community Services Officer I by the performance of the full range of duties as assigned, working independently, and exercising judgment and initiative. Community Services Officer II level are normally filled by advancement from the Community Services Officer I level; progression to the Community Services Officer II level is dependent on (i) management affirmation that the position is performing the full range of duties assigned to the classification; (ii) satisfactory work performance; (iii) the incumbent meeting the minimum qualifications for the classification including any licenses and certifications; and (iv) management approval for progression to the Community Services Officer II level.

The City of Corona is a General Law city operating under a Council-Manager form of government. Policymaking and legislative authority is vested in the City Council, consisting of a Mayor and four Council Members. Members of the City Council are elected by District to a four-year term. The Mayor is selected by the Council and serves as the presiding officer for one year. The City is organized into the following departments / organizational units : Community Services, City Manager's Office, Economic Development, Finance, Fire, Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal and Risk Management, Police, Planning & Development, Public Works and Utilities. Oversight of these departments is divided between the City Manager and two Assistant City Managers.
