Job Description
The IT Engineering Manager is to plan, coordinate, supervise, and participate in the activities related to the platform configuration, device configuration, and configuration management of the Nuclear Security Systems (NSSC). This position is also responsible for overseeing technical resources during onsite system installations. This individual will apply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices to guide his / her team on issues related to the configuration and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems which are used to maintain critical infrastructure in the Nuclear marketplace.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Lead and mentor a team of technical experts in operating systems, networking, and security solution deployment, by providing coaching, support, and recognition while fostering accountability.
- Encourage a collaborative and inclusive work environment to promote teamwork, open communication, and professional development
- Prioritize project deliverables, addressing the needs of both AUTS and its customers
- Strong technical skills, as demonstrated in past technical roles and self-directed research, learning, and certifications
- Provide oversight and manage project schedules for technical services team
- Analyze platform design requirements and implement design plans based on those requirements
- Document platform configuration
- Create installation and configuration documents as required
- Troubleshoot or guide troubleshooting of complex hardware and software systems
- Assist installation team during customer deployments
QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE) :
Must possess one or more of the following : Bachelor's Degree in information systems, computer information technology, engineering, computer science or related major with a minimum of five (5) years of IT experienceAssociate's Degree in information systems, computer information technology, engineering, computer science or related major with a minimum of seven (7) years of IT experience High school or equivalent with a minimum of nine (9) years of IT experience and applicable industry certificationsCurrent valid driver's license If driving a company-owned vehicleA minimum of five (5) years in an IT roleAt least three (3) years of experience in successfully leading, building, and developing teams.Ability to travel 20–30% of the time, which may include to out-of-state customer locations for one or more weeks at a timeBackground check to include, an FBI criminal records check, psychological assessment, and a credit check, to the extent permitted by law.BENEFITS :
