Lead Biller - FT Days

Job Description

Works under the supervision of the Business Office Manager. The Team Lead Biller demonstrates knowledge of insurance billing rules, regulations and contracts. Is able to utilize multiple hospital and professional billing systems. Monitors electronic and hardcopy claim submission, ability to update incorrect payer mnemonic and financial classes as needed. Obtains missing documentation / invoices and communicates with clinical departments as well as hospital departments regarding charges and / or missing documentation. Responsible for training staff, monitors productivity, internal and external billing delays.
