The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a Seasonal Barback to join the Serea Coastal Cuisine team! After a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a comparable support role, such as Server Assistant or Food Runner, one year of customer service experience, and one year of experience in fine dining, luxury, or upscale environments.

Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms, cottages, and villas with 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. This includes 4 restaurants, 2 bars, a food truck, marketplace, ice cream shop, and in-room dining.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve orders from storeroom, visually check stock and reconcile with written requisitions to ensure order accuracy and re-check stock upon delivery.
• Prepare the bar by cutting, slicing and peeling perishable garnishes and fruits, mixing and pouring juices and storing backup supplies in prescribed containers.
• Check with and assist the bartender to stock and maintain the bar to include, but not limited to, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce.
• Transport taps and replace and perform routine maintenance on beer kegs.
• Maintain cleanliness of bar area, beer lockers, refrigerators and storage areas in accordance with federal, state, local and company codes.

Qualifications

As a Barback, a valid Responsible Beverage Server (RBS) certification & RBS server ID are required.
