Position : Mammography Technologist (MAMMO TECH) : 1 open position

Location : Rancho Mirage, CA

Work Schedule : Days are Monday-Friday, but the hours will vary from 730-4, 8-430 or 930-6 depending on the coverage needed

Max Pay Rate : $76 / hr on W2

Start date : 12 / 01

Contract length : 13 weeks

Qualifications : Education :

Required : Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) approved School of Radiologic Technology

Licensure / Certification :

Required : American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Radiology (R); California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license Radiography and Mammography; American Heart Association BLS

Experience :

Preferred : Mammography screening experience

Job Objectives :

Produces quality screening and diagnostic mammography films and dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) exams; educates patients regarding patient exams and accurately documents procedures completed and procedure codes.

Responsibilities :

• Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations
• Interacts compassionately and effectively with patients providing a Five Star experience by reducing anxieties; provides explanations of procedures and equipment, and answers questions
• Escorts patient from sub-wait area to procedure room.
• Explains procedure to patient prior to beginning exam.
• Obtains appropriate medical history required (patient and family) before procedure is started.
• Explains comparative film review and obtains patient film release signature, as appropriate.
• Performs appropriate screening and diagnostic mammography exams.
• Completes all required billing and documentation accurately and timely in EHR and PACS.
• Performs bone density screening as assigned.
• Maintains cleanliness of all radiology equipment and rooms.
• Maintains job knowledge per the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and state regulatory requirements.
• Follows department timekeeping procedures.
• Works at main campus and satellite facilities.
