Job Title : INFORMATION SYSTEMS ASSISTANT
Job Summary : Under general supervision, provides technical support services relative to
computers, computer software, databases, hardware, printers, networks and
telecommunication systems. Also, provides services in the design, support and
maintenance of TCRC Document Imaging application(s) and scanning hardware.
Primary Functions :
1. Computer hardware installation, configuration, maintenance and trouble-shooting including
updating and replacing internal components, peripherals and related items.
2. Computer software installation, configuration, trouble-shooting, upgrading, distribution,
licensure and management.
3. Local Area Network access control and local security.
4. Create and maintain processes for end user interaction with electronic documentation
5. Provide bulk scanning services and support
6. Train and support scanning on various hardware platforms and devices
7. Liaison between staff and IS service providers for problem resolution
8. Additional projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelors or Associates degree preferred in computer systems centric coursework or closely related
field or equivalent training, 5 years experience in computer systems technical support, familiarity with
LANs, WANs and standard PC software products, reliable transportation or equivalent means
of transportation.
Physical Requirements :
Adequate manual dexterity and coordination for operation of a computer and other standard office
equipment is required for this position. The ability to sit at a workstation for long periods of time, the
ability to read, write and comprehend large amounts of written material such as reports and
regulations, use the telephone, and communicate via electronic mail are all required on a daily basis.
The ability to travel to another work-site location is occasionally required. The ability to stand, sit or
walk for moderate distances is also required on a daily basis.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to
handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or control and reach with hands and arms. The employee
frequently is required to stand, sit, walk, push, pull, kneel, stoop, bend, and squat. The employee
must frequently lift and / or move up to 20 lbs and infrequently up to 40 lbs. Specific vision abilities
required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability
to adjust focus. Each of these physical tasks is an essential function of the position.

Starting Salary : $30.98 - $34.14 hourly (Grade 10) (Full range : $30.07-$38.73 hourly)
