As a Patrol Unarmed Security Professional with Allied Universal in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas on foot to help create a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents, while your strong communication and customer service skills will support a positive campus experience. What You'll Do : Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed. Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly while applying problem-solving skills. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor for suspicious activity and report security-related concerns as directed by Allied Universal policies. Assist visitors, staff, and / or students with directions and information as needed while maintaining a security-related presence. Document security-related incidents and complete required reports in a timely manner. Support access control procedures and check identification as required by site protocols. Minimum Requirements : Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience. Must possess an active Department of Defense Secret clearance. Customer service experience is preferred. A valid guard card or license is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
