Job description

AppleOne is assisting an Accounting Firm located in Maitland with finding a Receptionist to join their team.

About the Job

  • Greeting clients, answering phone, multitasking to log paperwork, set appointments, send files to clients.
  • Using an appointment book to make appointments, as opposed to using an e-calendar.
  • The office manager and another staff will jump in when things get really busy up front.

Qualifications :

  • A MUST : from January through April 15th - NO VACATION. Doctor or other appointments are acceptable, just no vacation at all during that time.
  • Need to be personable, pleasant, good communicator, good phone etiquette, multi tasker
  • No preference for new or seasoned candidates, but doesn’t want someone who is stuck in their ways or someone who doesn’t have any idea about working in an office.
  • Software : Outlook required. Word and Excel preferred. Will be using Proseries and Revver but both can be be taught.
  • Soft Skills : must be personable and provide good customer service. Cannot have thin skin, can’t take things personally or be overly sensitive (clients aren’t always excited about paying taxes!)

    • Schedule :

  • Normally Mon-Fri 8am-5pm, except during tax season.
  • Tax Season schedule : from the 2-3rd week of Jan through April 15th, they work : Mon-Thr 8-7, Fr 8-5, Sat 8-2 (rotating every 2-3 Saturdays).
  • Hour lunch break
