Job Description
The Senior EDI Developer is responsible for managing and optimizing Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems to ensure efficient and accurate data exchange with business partners. This role includes analyzing, designing, implementing, and troubleshooting EDI transactions to maintain compliance and support operational effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate EDI systems with internal and external applications ensuring data accuracy and consistency across platforms.
- Develop and implement EDI solutions that facilitate communication and data transfer between various entities ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and maintain EDI maps and translation processes, converting data formats as required for different business partners.
- Conduct testing of EDI transactions and workflows, documenting processes and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing within the team.
- Oversee the maintenance and optimization of existing EDI systems, including troubleshooting issues and implementing necessary updates or patches.
- Identify and implement process improvements within EDI structure, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of data exchange.
- Lead projects related to EDI implementation, including managing timelines, resources and stakeholder communication.
- Provide training and support to junior developers, team members and end users.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.Previous experience in EDI management with a focus on data analysis and system integration.5+ years of experience managing EDI.Strong analytical skills.Proficient in EDI standards, experience in EDI software and tools like X12, EDFACT and knowledge of programming language such as Java, C# or Python.Experience with EDI mapping and translation tools.Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external partners.Due to business needs, occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Travel as needed to work locations and the corporate office.Remote / Hybrid (at any point) - If required to work from home, a minimum internet speed of 100Mbps and reliable cellular signal is required to do this job effectively.Physical Abilities
