The Tax Senior is responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns in varying complexity. The successful candidate in this position will identify and recommend tax strategies that better position the client through his or her deep understanding of tax law. Additionally, the candidate must possess strong communication skills and a professional demeanor. The Tax Senior position serves in a training position for junior staff and offers an outstanding opportunity for leadership and career advancement. Essential Functions Technical

• Prepares complex individual, corporate and partnership tax returns.
• Performs review of individual tax returns prepared by tax staff or others.
• Serves as a technical resource for tax staff.
• Conducts basic and complex tax research.
• Collaborates with firm colleagues to conduct tax planning for individuals, corporate, partnership and trust tax clients.
• Reviews federal, state, and local tax notices and drafts responses.
• Authors and collaborates on articles and client correspondence.
