The Salisbury VA Healthcare System is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Physician to join our esteemed medical team. We are currently seeking a full-time Chief of Gynecology to lead and inspire our gynecology department. This pivotal leadership role is essential to our ongoing commitment to providing exceptional healthcare services to our veterans. Duties can include but are not limited to performing :

• Diagnose and treat reproductive system disorders such as endometriosis, infertility, ovarian cysts, and pelvic pain.
• Educate patients on disease prevention, detection, and reproductive health, and breast exams.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and policies.
• The chief position determines all call coverage.

Requirements

U.S. Citizenship : Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy.

Education : A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is required.

Licensure : Candidates must possess a current, complete, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.

Residency : Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty

Must be actively participating in intraoperative cases.

Board Certification : Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
