Travel Nurse Job Details Location : Lorain, Ohio (44053) - Ohio healthcare jobs Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Start Date : November 3, 2025 End Date : February 2, 2026 Duration : 13-week contract Shift : 12-hour days; every other weekend and holiday required Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1880 - $2020 Unit : Labor & Delivery (LDRP - 18 beds, 4 triage beds, 2 ORs) Average Deliveries : 60-65 per month Scrubs : Provided on unit Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Ohio RN license or compact state nursing license (required) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required prior to direct patient care) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (must obtain within 6 months of hire) Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience (required) Recent experience in Labor & Delivery, OB, Emergency Department, or Critical Care (preferred) Ability to work in both Labor & Delivery and Mother Baby units EKG exam required Experience with EPIC, Obix, and GE fetal monitors (preferred) Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification and other OB-related certifications (a plus) Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to women and newborns in a Level 1 OB unit Circulate and recover C-sections (scrubbing experience is a bonus) Perform patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes Administer medications and interventions safely and effectively Educate and support patients and families throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum care Collaborate with OBGYNs, CRNAs, pediatricians, and neonatal nurse practitioners Utilize EPIC and other electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation Maintain a safe, inclusive, and culturally sensitive environment for all patients Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold patient safety standards Take the next step in your travel nursing career and make a difference in the lives of mothers and newborns in Lorain, Ohio.
