Responsibilities Work in a hospital operating room setting with exposure to Neuro, Ortho, Transplants, Robotic, and Vascular cases 10-hour day shifts, four days per week (0630-1700) Assignments may include floating between departments or local facilities within a 20-mile radius Epic experience is preferred but not required and training can be provided Provide direct patient care using the nursing process for OR patients Coordinate patient care with the healthcare team and ensure safe, timely, and effective patient-centered care Support, supervise, and guide LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel in the OR Must pass Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia testing during orientation (not a requirement for this role, for ED, ICU, and PCU RNs only) Returning perm staff must wait one year before being eligible for travel assignments Scrub experience is essential Flexibility and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment are required Requirements Active NM or Compact RN license Current BLS certification from AHA, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross Minimum of two years recent experience in a large operating room Must be able to scrub Completion of at least one previous 13-week travel assignment required Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred Experience in Neuro, Ortho, EENT, or Vascular procedures a plus Epic EMR experience preferred Must not reside within 50 miles of the facility Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-618259.
