Registered Nurse (RN) - PSYCH

Job Summary : The RN Psychiatric (PSYCH) specializes in mental health nursing, caring for patients with psychiatric or emotional disorders. Responsibilities include assessing mental health status, administering medications, and coordinating care with mental health professionals.

Key Responsibilities :

Assess patient mental health conditions, documenting behavioral and emotional changes.
Administer psychiatric medications and monitor for side effects.
Implement therapeutic interventions and crisis prevention techniques.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers for treatment planning.
Provide patient and family education on mental health resources and coping strategies.

Work Environment :

Inpatient psychiatric units, mental health clinics, or community health centers.

Requires strong interpersonal skills and de-escalation techniques.
